Since they’re in the minority, probably the most effective thing Democrats can do is to throw sand into the gears and make it as tough as possible for Republicans—which what the GOP to great effect when they are in the minority.
What happened in March regarding the GOP funding bill is a prime example of how Democrats fold. If you recall, the public begged Democrats not to help Republicans pass the GOP funding bill. Chuck Schumer initially said that he would not support the bill, and then flipped at the last minute.
Thank you, but I was looking for specific tools that you said democrats have at their disposal that they’re not using. If you can explain what two or three actions/tools they could be deploying but are not, we can use those points when communicating with democratic leaders to pressure them and advocate for action, and also determine if they have employed their tools or not, since they work for us. * we/us = the people
